Tasty Noodle House
A reliably good (and pretty dang authentic) shanghainese restaurant. Serves excellent sheng jian bao (pork buns with crispy bottoms) and hong shao rou (braised pork belly). They are very cheap, but it will certainly be easier to order if you go with someone who speaks mandarin. Personally recommend going with a group so that you can try many different dishes. My personal favorite asian restaurant in this neighborhood. -

While the food looked like it might have been good, unfortunately looking at it was about as close as we got to eating it!
We waited 45 minutes with NO SERVICE
We left for a nearby restaurant... -

This is my family's go to restaurant when my parents are too lazy to cook. There was one week when we went 3 times!
The food is always tasty, and they always have a deal where you get a free dish after ordering 3. We almost always have leftovers too.
My absolute favorite dish is the pork chop with rice cake. The rice cakes are lightly fried, and the sauce is on the sweet side. I usually eat all the rice cake at the restaurant, then take the pork chop to eat at home since it's more reheating friendly.
Another star dish is the stinky tofu. It's not incredibly stinky here, so it's a good introduction to the dish for those who are put off by the smell. The tofu pieces are bite size too so more surface area for the stinky fried goodness.
We've tried lots of dishes at this place, and they've all tasted really good. Can't wait for the next time I visit home to eat here again! -

I've been coming to this restaurant for years. They seem to have hired the new waitress, who was surprisingly thoughtful. she mentioned me that you may ordered too much for one, and also tell me be careful about the togo box since I left a lot. A few simple words make people feel warm. For most Chinese restaurants, don't expect good service or smile from server. But I mean the better service can be one reason make customer come back.

BAD ATTITUDE. The food is average, however, I won't ever come back again because of their shitty attitude.
This is the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. Me and my friend ordered about 6 dishes (two fried rice,) so we asked for more chili sauce, however, they said they can only give us one chili sauce per dish. We told them we got the extra chili sauces from the waiter last time, but the Chinese woman manager(she called herself manager) had the bad attitude on us, she kept arguing and even said that they never had a waiter in their restaurant before, but we literally came here a week ago!! DISAPPOINTED.
